Who We Are
Vulture Street's mission is to provide affordable, effective innovation services to Australian organisations. Our core team, profiled below, works with a network of innovation specialists from institutions across Australia, including the University of Queensland, Queensland University of Technology and Swinburne University of Technology.
Kate Morrison
Kate is principal of Vulture Street and an economist specialising in innovation strategy, technology and policy. She has twelve years' consulting experience across a wide range of industries as both an IT and innovation/strategic management specialist. She has worked for IBM on very large global projects as an applications architect, team leader and project manager, and was awarded the Most Valued Team Member award by IBM in 1999. Kate has a first class honours degree in economics from the University of Queensland and since 2005 has specialised in innovation consulting. She has advised start-up, small and medium-sized enterprises on innovation and broader business strategy and has worked on innovation policy in Australia and the UK. She has managed teams of up to 15 staff and designed, managed and delivered projects with budgets up to $1m. Lisa Morrison
As the Vulture Street Jam Events Manager, Lisa is responsible for the end to end coordination and delivery of our online jam events. She also provides administrative support to the rest of the Vulture Street team. Lisa has over eight years experience in event management and project coordination across the private, public and not for profit sectors within Australia and the UK. Lisa has tertiary qualifications in event management and community cultural development, and has worked for The Arts Centre, Melbourne, Tate Modern in London and the Brisbane International Film Festival.
Nicola Morgan
Nicola is Vulture Street's communications and marketing manager, with responsibility for delivering the communications aspects of the jam process. Nicola was previously marketing manager for Hamptons International, one of the top five property companies in the UK, and has been head of marketing and PR for several membership and arts organisations. She has also been account manager for several leading advertising agencies in Australia. Nicola has a Bachelor of Arts (English and History) from the University of Queensland and has completed Graphic Design qualifications at Central St Martin's in London.
